ABA On Boundary Range

Namoi Valley Archers took to the field on Sunday for a two-round ABA on the boundary range in sunny but cool conditions. Archers battled it out for the top placings with some interesting results. Sebastian Donovan proved to be a worthy opponent to father Greg Donovan, edging him out of the top spot in the sighted division with a concerted display of precision archery. Greg Scott rounded out the top three just doing enough to stave off the rest of the field. Karen Hudson proved to be too strong in the barebow compound division, with Ann Stubbs taking second and Wendi Murrell finishing in third place. John Woolaston showed his skill in the traditional contest by holding off a determined effort by Peter Stubbs to take first place with Darrell Hudson grabbing third. Junior member Lachlan Boyd showed great improvement in recent weeks by putting in his best score to date. A small contingent of members from the club are heading to Kempsey this weekend for the branch ABA titles. The next club shoot is a 3-arrow Delta set down for Sunday July 29, 9am rego for a 9.30am start.
