3 Arrow Shoot On Outback Range

Namoi Valley Archers held a 3 arrow animal round on Sunday with archers taking to the revamped outback range in very cool conditions. Course designers, Steve Jaeger and Stuart Dolbel presented a very cleverly designed range with clever shot placement testing the distance judgement skills of competitors. Greg Donovan mastered the course on the day to score an emphatic win in the Sighted division. Donovan was in a class of his own breaking the 1100 point barrier to finish the day as top point scorer overall. James Bush was another archer in great form shooting well to finish in second place with Greg Scott in third. Karen Hudson bounced back to form to score a dominating win in the Compound division after some hard work at the practice butts during the week. Wendi Murrell filled second place with Jarrod Stubbs in third. Darrell Hudson proved too consistent in the Traditional contest turning in an impressive score with Peter Stubbs outgunning Phil Greenwood in a spirited battle for the minor placings. The next club shoot is set down for July 15th with registration by 9.00am for a 9.30am start on the range. Darrell and Karen Hudson both scored gold meddles at the recent Tuggerah Lakes Invitational tournament. Darrell Hudson was in sensational form shooting at his brilliant best to win the A grade event sealing the win with a wonderful performance on the second day of the event. Karen Hudson struggled with her from but still did enough to win the Masters gold.
