Season Heating Up As Nationals Approach

Namoi Valley Archers held a 3 arrow round on Sunday with competitors taking to the Boundary range to compete in perfect weather conditions. Matthew Wittman continues to set a cracking pace in the Open division returning another outstanding round to finish on top after a close battle with John Clark. Stuart Dolbel returned to form with a good performance to edge out Greg Donovan for third place. Darrell Hudson shot brilliantly to take top honours in the Traditional division with Michael Patrick and Peter Stubbs finishing tied for the minor placings. Jarrod Stubbs finished the day as the top Junior Compound shooter scoring a good win with Sam Snape just edging out Sam Zelinski in a spirited contest for the minor placings. The next club shoot will be held on April 4th and will feature a 2 round ABA event. This will be the final opportunity for club members to gain vital practice before the Australian Field Archery Titles to be held in Mildura over the Easter weekend.
