Namoi Valley Archers held the first 3D round of the year on Sunday with another big field taking to the ranges. The format for the day had archers shooting a 3 arrow round in the morning and a 1 arrow in the afternoon with a BBQ lunch between rounds. Range designers Lloyd Jauja and Greg Donovan presented archers with a challenging course making excellent use of broken ground to test competitors distance judgement. Matt Sinclair led the field home in the Sighted division returning a top class score with Greg Donovan grabbing second place with Matt Wittman in third. Wade Hudson dominated the Compound contest with Karen Hudson filling second spot and Ken Hill also shooting well to take third. Darrell Hudson finished on top in the Traditional division with Michael Patrick shooting well to take second with Peter Stubbs in third. Sebastian Donovan proved too good in the Junior Sighted division with James Bush filling second and newcomer Lachlan Scott making an excellent debut to take third.
