Thirty six archery enjoyed a perfect mornings practice of IFAA Animal this Sunday. A spectacular winters day saw some good scores handed in with both Sam Bates and Steve Jaeger unlucky to miss out on perfects by two points.
Ben Ireland also shot well with his new Trycon but was robbed of a perfect as a result of a less than forgiving cam.
Jodi Dolbel and Karen Hudson both lifted the benchmark for the ladies, shooting new club records in their respective divisions.
Phillip Porter was also on fire smashing the old club record in the process of winning convincingly in the barebow ranks.
Next weekend see's a large number of the club members making the treck to Hervey Bay to compete in the World Field Archery Championships for IFAA, the pinicle event of field archery, this is as good as it gets. The club is hopefull of bringing home a few medals but the competition at this level will test all competitors and to finish in the top 5 at this level of competition is something to be proud of, keep an eye out for updates on this website as the event unfolds between the 12th and 16th of June.
