Forty local archers took to the boundry range for a bit of ABA practice leading up to the club two day branch championships shoot to be held on the 12th and 13th August. ABA teaches the archer to estimate distances closely as the life size targets are placed at unknown distances around a 20 target bush range. Scoring is by order of numbered arrow, 1,2,3, the first arrow to hit a score zone is scored. A one arrow kill being the highest scoring arrow at 20 points making the round out of a possible 400. Each of the three score zones is worth two points less per zone as is each additional arrow need to score.

Two club records were broken in the days rounds, Jodi Dolbel continued her recent good form to break womens open and Meg Jeager shot an outstanding round to smash the cub record in her division.
