Namoi Valley Archers kicked off the 2010 season on Sunday with a big field taking to the Outback range for a 3 arrow round with senior competitors trying the newly introduced Hunter peg for the first time. This new innovation will be used on all ABA ranges in 2010 and it is hoped it will prove popular with the hunting fraternity and see an increase it shoot numbers at both club and branch events. Despite light raining falling during the round some very good scores were recorded with visiting archer Pat Tydings recording the highest score for the day on his way to winning the sighted division just holding off Stuart Dolbel in a very close contest with Matthew Wittman just a few points away in third.
